This month 64-Corp visited the Miami Design District, a neighborhood dedicated to fashion, design, art, architecture, and dining. The Design District known for its luxury fashion and jewelry boutiques, antique dealers upscale interior design stores, beautiful art galleries, stunning architecture, dining experiences and public art installations, has become a worldwide destination for the well-heeled crowd to explore, shop, and dine.
Every second Saturday of each month a community wide Art & Design night is held from 7-10 pm. The Design District features a colorful calendar of events each month from wine tastings to art tours and lectures, fashion shows, concerts, gallery openeings, family days, fashion panels discussing everything from fashion and social media to sustainability in fashion. The Design District has become a Mecca of culture and everything fine and tasteful and aesthetically pleasing and stimulating.
Central to the District is the Buckminster Fuller Fly's eye Dome. A fiber glass geodesic dome, representing today's green building movement.
We visited several luxury brand stores to see what is new on the Paris runways!!
From casual cafes to formal dining, there is something to surely lure your tastebuds at The Design District. We visited St.Roch Market where we sampled fresh homemade pasta.
For the best Cuban food we have ever tasted and deemed the best Cuban food in Miami, we dined at Estefan Kitchen. The mojitos are delicious. Occasionally servers take to the in-house stage and perform their favorite numbers. You might even be lucky and Gloria and Emilio will make an appearance while you are dining there!
